It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Col. Edmund G. Norwick Jr.

   Many of our associates have fond memories of Col. Norwick who commanded the 107th Armored Cavalry Regiment from 1960 to 1962 and served several years, and in various positions as Secretary, Treasurer, and President of the First Cleveland Cavalry Association.

   Col Norwick's daughter, Anne Warfel, stated that "He passed away in Lancaster, PA  on October 1, 2009 and, that a memorial service is being planned for the Cleveland area". Anne further stated that "Her father was very proud to have been a member of the First Cleveland Cavalry Association and treasured the camaraderie that it provided".

   Our sympathy goes out to the family. 

   An obituary and death notice will appear shortly in the Plain Dealer and, further details regarding the memorial service will be provided when they become known.
