Arthur H. Madarena Obituary
Mass of Christian Burial for Arthur H. Madarena, age 87, will be at noon on Tuesday at St. Cyprian Catholic Church, 4223 Middle Ridge Rd., Perry. 
Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville. 
A lifetime resident of Painesville/Perry, Arthur was born on February 3, 1928, in Painesville.
He passed away on June 19, 2015, at Cardinal Woods Rehab Center in Madison.
Arthur served in the US Navy aboard the USS Princeton during World War II and the Korean War. 
Mr. Madarena retired from the Mill Room of Diamond-Shamrock Corp.
He was a member of the Ohio National Guard, 107th Armored Tank Div. in Warrensville Hts., as well as, Painesville and Ashtabula. He was also a member of St. Cyprian Church Enlisted Men's Association of the National Guard.
Arthur is survived by his daughters, Leslie Madarena and Laura (Jeffrey) Smith; son, Richard Madarena; grandchildren, Sandra Anderson, Travis Trupiano, Brandy Smith, Amanda Madarena, and Amber Smith; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Coby McCutchen; and sister, Helen Swaggart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Janet (Hamilton) Madarena; and brother, Jim Madarena.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Arthur's memory may be made to the US Association Brotherhood of Tankers, c/o Bryan Seifert, 36550 Chester Rd, # 3703, Avon, OH 44011.
