TO: The First Cleveland Cavalry Soldiers

At no time in the history of our organization has it been more important than now to energize our group. In the past, we have had numerous soldiers for WWII and the Korean War that actively participated. As the number of these veterans continues to dwindle, and the number of 107th units decline, the significance of this organization seems to fade away.

We can’t wait until our numbers are so small that our relevance is questioned. To remain a viable organization well into the future, I ask each one of you to recruit (1) one new member in this next year. I’m sure you all know at least someone from your old unit that would be interested in becoming an active member. Sometimes just a phone call will inspire a former member to show up at the Annual Steak Roast or Holiday Party.

I know of no other organization that cost so little and yet gives so much in return. It is critically important that we keep the legacy of the First Cleveland Cavalry alive for the generations to come.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation and support.

Sincerely,

Thomas P. Luczynski
President
